2024-2025 Scholarship Applications are OPEN!

Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett, & Haik Law Firm have announced the 2024-25 scholarship application process is now open. Scholarships are based on academic background (must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA), maturity of the applicant, financial need, community involvement, the availability of resources, funding and the applicants’ chosen career field. Applicants must be permanent residents of St. Landry or Evangeline Parish.“Our goal is to continue to provide these scholarships for many years to come. St. Landry and Evangeline Parishes have bright students and we are pleased to be able to support them as they begin their next step in their education,” said Pat Morrow, Senior Partner at MMRBH.

These scholarships are awarded as a one-time award for the 2024-25 school year. Scholarship amounts and guidelines are set by the MMRBH Scholarship Committee and may be adjusted on an annual basis. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the educational institution the applicant is attending. Applicants must be attending an educational institution/college in the state of Louisiana and can apply during any portion of their educational career (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, professional school, etc.) Applicants can be current TOPS recipients.

The OGHS Foundation administers this scholarship program.

The completed applications should be submitted to the OGHS Foundation by mail at the following address: 703 E. Prudhomme Dr., Opelousas, LA 70570 (Building M). Application forms must be submitted with a photo of applicant (at least a 4 X 6), two letters of recommendation, original high school transcript/GED and all original post-secondary transcripts (college) if applicable. All documents, including application, should be postmarked no later than March 15th, 2024. All applications will be considered without regard to race, sex, national origin, age, physical or mental impairment or veteran status. Applications will be reviewed by the MMRBH Scholarship Committee and the top candidates will be interviewed by the selection committee.
