Opelousas General Health System Welcomes Dr. George Semien to the OGHS Medical Staff!

Dr. George Semien, Anesthesiologist, recently joined the OGHS Medical Staff. He is originally from Lawtell, LA.

Dr. Semien received his medical degree and completed his Internship and Residency from University of Rochester School of Medicine, Rochester, NY. He has practiced as an anesthesiologist for over 15 years, working in Miami, Pensacola and other areas of Florida. He most recently worked at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

He is joining Drs. Trevor Peck and Gregory Verlander of WellSmart Health - Anesthesia. Dr. Semien will work in Surgery and in other areas providing anesthesia services to our patients.
