Faydra Allen, MHA, Physician Practice Administrator  Receives ACHE Regent’s Award

February 24, 2021—Faydra N. Allen, MHA, Physician Practice Administrator, Opelousas General Health System, Opelousas, LA received the American College of Healthcare Executives Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award recently at a special reception held in the OGHS auditorium.

Dianne Yeates, ACHE’s Regent for Louisiana & Chief Operating Officer at Terrebonne General Medical Center and Ken Cochran, ACHE’s Regent Elect and President & CEO of Opelousas General Health System, bestowed the award on Allen. The Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award recognizes ACHE members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of ACHE’s goals.

Members are evaluated on leadership ability; innovative and creative management; executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community; participation in local, state or provincial hospital and health association activities; participation in civic/community activities and projects; participation in ACHE activities; and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.

Allenhas served as Physician Practice Administrator since January 2020.Prior to this, sheserved as Physician Practice Management II for a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation office, Neurology Center, Bariatric Center and Orthopaedic Center at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Allen is a member of theAmerican College of Healthcare Executives, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence. She is also a member of the Health Administration Advisory Board where she serves as President and a member of the Louisiana State Region 3 Representative and Diversity & Inclusion Committee Member. In addition, she is a member of the Franciscan Missionary Healthcare Administration Advisory Board.

Allen received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, LA, and her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, LA.
