Opelousas General Health System Congratulates OGHS’ President & CEO, Ken Cochran, and Foundation Director, Tracey Antee

Opelousas General Health System’s Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership Team congratulates OGHS’ President & CEO, Ken Cochran, and Foundation Director, Tracey Antee, on their recognition by the American Hospital Association for their role in the St. Landry Parish COVID-19 daily information call, initiated at the beginning of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Ken Cochran, DSc, FACHE, has served as OGHS’ President & CEO since 2015. Throughout his tenure, he has introduced many innovations to OGHS. He has a vision of excellence with over 20 years of hospital experience, as well as clinical expertise as a registered nurse. His motivation for improvement in community health and drive for overall service aided in the success of this initiative.

Tracey Antee, Director of the OGHS Foundation, has been with the hospital since 2018. She has extensive experience in working with non-profit organizations and in the development of community programs and resources. Tracey has helped direct and chair the Healthy St. Landry Alliance. The Alliance is a consortium of more than 25 local partners, including other health care providers, local government, faith-based organizations and community groups.

On Thursday, September 24th during a case study presentation to members of the American Hospital Association throughout the country, they shared knowledge and experience as well as how they rapidly enacted a communications and response system to address gaps in community needs and support during COVID-19.
