In 2008, Opelousas General Health System started the "Paint The Town Pink" initiative, a program promoting Breast Cancer Awareness, breast cancer education and free mammograms for eligible men and women in our community.

St. Landry Parish is above the national average for mammography screenings due to availability and access to annual screenings and testing provided by Paint the Town Pink!
Opelousas General Health System is gearing up for our Paint the Town Pink (PTTP) Campaign.
PTTP is an initiative that originated in 2008, which was created to provide community education about breast cancer and to provide free mammograms, ultrasounds and readings for women and men in our community who qualify.
The overwhelming success of this program is directly attributed to the support that we received from sponsors like you and from our community and business leaders.
