The Louisiana Hospital Association has selected Kenneth Cochran, DSc, RN, FACHE, President and CEO of Opelousas General Health System to serve on the Legislative, Regulatory & Policy Council (LRPC).
Members participating on the LRPC serve a significant role in the association by providing recommendations on various legislative, regulatory and policy matters to the LHA Board of Trustees.
The work of the LRPC has been very successful in the past and is a testament that working together can strengthen the influence and voice in the legislative and regulatory arenas on both the state and federal levels. The LRPC hopes to continue a strong tradition of robust and successful advocacy on behalf of patients in Louisiana.
“It is vital that the residents of Louisiana are protected and continue to have access to critical healthcare services as health reform continues to evolve. It will be an honor to serve the LHA by participating as a member of the LRPC. I look forward to serving the state, my hospital and my colleagues,” said Cochran.
