WellSmart Health of Arnaudville Elementary-School Telemedicine

School Telemedicine

Opelousas General Health System in collaboration with the St. Landry Parish School Board, provides Telemedicine services to the students of Arnaudville Elementary. Launching in January, 2019, this program allows students to be seen by a healthcare provider, while they are at school, via telemedicine technology.

Opelousas General staff will be on the campus of Arnaudville Elementary during school hours to treat patients who present symptoms of illness. The OGHS staff member will alert the student's parent/guardian of the illness and provide information about the diagnosis and treatment.

How it Works

First, you will need to sign up for the program.

Signing up is as easy at 1-2-3:

  1. Fill out registration packet
  2. Turn in completed packet
  3. Start receiving services

Once you are signed up, your child can get primary care at school anytime. An OGHS staff member will examine your child during school hours. A doctor will be lending their counsel through video conferencing.

Registration Packets

A registration form must be completed by the student's parent/guardian prior to being seen at our Clinic. Phone authorizations will not be accepted. Simply download the registration form, fill out, and mail to:
