Opelousas General Health System has recently upgraded the da Vinci® Surgical System from the S version to the Xi which is designed to further advance the technology used in minimally invasive surgical procedures. The da Vinci® allows surgeons to perform these procedures through a very small incision roughly the size of a dime with unmatched precision. The system seamlessly translates the surgeon's hand and finger movements into precise, real-time movements of surgical instruments inside the patients.

da Vinci Prostatectomy

Facing any kind of urologic surgery creates a great deal of anxiety for most men. Among your concerns is: "Will my body function normally following surgery?"
