Meet Our Family

Karen Gremillion & Louise Pilgreen are a vital part of our family here at Opelousas General. Both Karen and her daughter Louise, make up an essential part of our nursing staff. Karen, our Chief Nursing Officer, and Louise, one of our Education Nurses, work together to ensure that our nursing staff gives our patients their best and most compassionate care. Both sharing their daily passion for nursing, motherhood, and family bonds - they are just one more reason why "At Opelousas General Health System, we treat you like family... because we are."

Lawrence Delahoussaye has been a member of our family at Opelousas General for over 23 years. For the past 5 years, he has been able to share his passion for Opelousas General with his daughter, Lindsi Pizzolato. According to Lindsi, it was his passion and the love for his job that was the main reason that Lindsi came to join our family. Together, they not only share the daily compassion for their patients, but also share the love for Lindsi’s newborn and Lawrence’s newest granddaughter. As we are able to witness this family grow within our own, we are honored to have both Lawrence and Lindsi as members of our family as well. They are just one more reason why "At Opelousas General Health System, we treat you like family... because we are."

Sherry Smith has been a part of our family for over 15 years. For Sherry, working in Labor & Delivery wasn’t just about being a nurse. It was helping families welcome a newborn life into their world. With this daily joyous experience, Sherry recruited her own daughter, Kiley Meche, from another hospital in Baton Rouge to join us here at Opelousas General. Today both Sherry & Kiley not only share their love for nursing, but also share their love for the beauty of maternity and eternal family bonds. They are just one more reason why "At Opelousas General Health System, we treat you like family... because we are."

Stephanie Antoine has been a member of our family for the past five years working in the Environmental Services Department.   She is the recipient of several quality awards for her exceptional customer service.  Shortly after joining OGHS, just one year later, her daughter Coreya Seraile, joined our staff.  Coreya started in Environmental Services like her mom, and then worked her way up to a critical care tech in our Intensive Care Department.  Stephanie recently added a new member to her family, giving Coreya a new baby brother.  They both admit that he is a handful, but love him dearly.  We are so privileged to have both of them on our staff.  They are just one more reason why “At Opelousas General Health System, we treat you like family…..because we are.”
