Position Description:
Duties include coding and abstracting all Emergency Room visits. Working Knowledge of the ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 nomenclature, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology required. Experience with Evaluation and Management coding is a plus. Applicant must possess the ability to keep abreast of coding rules as well as prospective payment issues regarding the Emergency Department. Must be able to work alone with limited supervision, be self-motivated, have good organizational and communication skills and be able to prioritize work duties.
