Tumor Registry
Through the Tumor Registry, the Complete Cancer Care Program provides lifetime follow-up of each cancer patient we treat. We maintain records of the patient's cancer history, the extent of the disease at diagnosis, treatment history and medical follow-up, regardless of where he receives subsequent treatments.
Each year, we contact the patient and / or physician for an update of the patient's cancer status and his quality of life. The yearly contact also reminds patients to schedule routine medical exams, thus increasing the chance for early detection of cancer recurrences.
The Tumor Registry provides a central location for physicians to access a patient's complete cancer history, monitor patient progress, analyze treatment results and evaluate the overall quality of care offered through the Complete Cancer Care Program.
In accordance with Louisiana law, the Tumor Registry maintains strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
Individual patients are never identified in any reports published by the registry. |
