Physical Therapy
The physical therapy department evaluates the disability of its patients and their treatment in order to return them to the independence of daily life. Patients are treated on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Equipped with ultrasound, whirlpools, a large exercise room, and the most modern technological tools, this department treats a variety of injuries-not just those of an orthopedic nature.
The outpatient Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department of Opelousas General Health System treats individuals with orthopedic, neurological, arthritic and vestibular problems. The skilled staff rehabilitate patients who suffer with broken bones, musculo-tendinous and/or soft tissue injuries, spine problems, pain syndromes of the upper and lower extremity, post stroke vestibular and balance disorders. Our physical therapist is certified in the treatment of vestibular dysfunction. For more information on our services call 337-407-4429.
Our Physical Therapists work to return patients to independent daily living by evaluating and treating their physical disabilities. The department provides treatment on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
