Paint The Town Pink Sponsorship
 Because of its' overwhelming success, Opelousas General Health System is again offering different levels of sponsorship opportunities to support our "Paint The Town Pink" efforts in 2011.
In 2008, Opelousas General Health System received its first grant from the Acadiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This grant helped start our “Paint the Town Pink” program.
Opelousas General Health System is proud to announce that this year we are again the recipients of a $50,000 grant. This grant will help us to continue providing breast cancer awareness, education, no-cost mammograms and ultrasounds for eligible men and women in our community. The great success of this program can be attributed to the overwhelming support from our community and business leaders.

Breast Cancer Statistics In 2010, breast cancer ranked as the number one site of new cancers seen at Opelousas General Health System. Sixty new breast cancer cases were seen which accounted for 17.7% of the total new cancer cases for 2010. |
