Outpatient Oncology Unit

Patients who receive cancer treatment on an outpatient basis require the same kind of support and information as hospitalized patients. The Outpatient Oncology Unit provides high-quality care for patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and diagnostic workups.

Trained Oncology nurses put patients at ease by educating them about all aspects of the treatment plan. They provide detailed information about each medication provided and counsel patients concerning possible side effects, nutritional complications and other details of each treatment.

A staff physician assumes care of each patient in the Outpatient Oncology Unit and monitors the patient throughout the course of the treatment. Nurses administer medication in rooms furnished for the patient's comfort.
