Opelousas General Health System to provide Safe Sitter Course
Opelousas General Health System’s Education Department will be offering a Safe SitterŪ Course which is a medically accurate, competency-based, highly structured baby-sitting preparation course designed for 11- to 13-year-old boy and girls. The curriculum was written by a pediatrician, is presented in modules over a two day time period and is taught by trained instructors.
The program includes instruction in skills and techniques such as: Baby-sitting as a Business, Safety for the Sitter, Injury Management, Care of the Choking Infant / Child and more.
A fee of $40.00 covers materials for the course and a backpack
