"Good Neighbor" Award by Better Business Bureau
Opelousas, La., October 28, 2011 - The Better Business Bureau of Acadiana announced its 19th annual 2011 Awards Program winners at the October 27th banquet held at River Oaks Conference Center in Lafayette, LA. Opelousas General Health System was presented the "Good Neighbor" Award. We were honored due to the role that our employees play in support of local charities.
The awards program, which has been held since 1992, also had special meaning because it marked the beginning of the BBB centennial celebration for 2012. Judging was based on materials submitted by businesses. The independent awards judging committee was composed of several individuals representing a large diverse business community. The BBB of Acadiana service area includes Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, St. Landry and Vermillion parishes.
