OGHS Foundation Hosts Celebration of Donors Program Opelousas, La., 11/15/11, The Opelousas General Health System Foundation recently hosted a “Celebration of Donors” program in the hospital auditorium. Donors from various levels of giving were honored at the special reception.
Dr. Tom Darbonne, President of the Board of Directors of the foundation served as Masters of Ceremonies. Members of the Jolis Cadeaux Club, Bonne Sante’ Circle and Signature Gifts Club received special recognition for their contributions. They enjoyed refreshments and wine while visiting with guests.
Proceeds from the donations benefit the OGHS Foundation’s various projects.
The OGHS Foundation also awards scholarships annually in excess of $50,000 to local students wishing to pursue careers in the medical field. The annual OGHS Golf Tournament is the primary source of scholarship funds.
