OGHS Foundation Announces 2010 Healthcare Scholarship Recipients
The OGHS Foundation is proud to announce the funding of six scholarships to students pursuing a degree in a healthcare field. The recipients of these scholarships this year are as follows: Ashley Dickerson - LSUE in Nursing; Nichole Gaspard - LSUE in Radiologic Technology; Allie LaComb - ULL in Nursing; Kelli Seilhan - LSUE in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Dawn Simoneaud - LSUE in Radiologic Technology; and Katina Thomas - LSUA in Nursing.
In order to receive this scholarship, these students must have been planning to attend LSUE, LSUA, ULL or TH Harris Opelousas Campus for a healthcare-related field. All of these students will be receiving full paid tuition during the upcoming school year with the opportunity to continue their scholarship for the remainder of their degree as long as they maintain the appropriate GPA. These scholarships were funded by the 4th Annual OGHS Foundation Golf Tournament, where over $40,000 was raised to provide healthcare scholarships to students in St. Landry Parish.
The OGHS Foundation will be having their 5th Annual OGHS Foundation Open on October 11, 2010 at Indian Hills Country Club. Please save the date for this tournament and help us raise money to fund additional scholarships for future students.
