Four "R" Day
 OGHS is offering a special day for Breast Cancer Survivors.
You may have eaten at a four star restaurant or had an overnight stay at a four star hotel but how about treating yourself to a four "R" day?
A day of Relaxation, Recreation, Recuperation, and Rejuvenation
That's right, a retreat for Breast Cancer Survivors to provide emotional, spiritual and social support. The emphasis will be on developing positive coping skills for recovery. The goal is to create a new awareness of inner strengths and support systems available, and of course to have fun as well. Information on community resources for cancer patients and their families will also be available.

Breast Cancer Statistics
In 2009, breast cancer ranked as the number one site of new cancers seen at Opelousas General Health System. Seventy four new breast cancer cases were seen which accounted for 23.3% of the total new cancer cases for 2009.
