OGHS Foundation
Meet the OGHS Foundation
OGHS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to support the vision of Opelousas General Health System. Volunteers from the community, area businesses and employees work together through the Foundation to raise money from individuals, businesses and other foundations. Together they share an interest in supporting healthcare and the work being done at Opelousas General Health System. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible and every dollar given is used to support a project, program or service identified as a top priority.
Can one person truly make a difference in the life of another? The answer is a resounding Yes.
When one person gives his or her time, talents, and treasures to other human beings, good things happen. When an entire community gives its time, talents and treasures, great things happen for the good of all. In 2006, the OGHS Foundation was created, thanks to the work of many community volunteers. Their mission is to raise funds so that Opelousas General Health System can continue to offer high quality services and facilities for generations to come.
