Congratulations to Dr. Mark Olivier!
Opelousas, LA., (12/19/11). Dr. Mark Olivier is stepping down as the Medical Director of the OGHS Emergency Department to continue working at Schumacher Group in Lafayette as Risk Management Medical Advisor.
Dr. Mark Olivier has been an Emergency room physician at Opelousas General Health System for the past 22 years, since1989. In 1995 he accepted the position of ER Director and has served in that capacity since then. While Dr. Olivier will be spending more time as Risk Management Medical Advisor at Schumacher Group, he still plans to work part-time in the OGHS Emergency Department.
Dr. Gus Lafleur will assume the Medical Director position of the Emergency Department effective January 1, 2012.
Friends and family gathered today at Opelousas General Health System to send him well wishes.
